modded ITR 1/4 times?
My friend has a '00 Type R, and I was wondering with a good driver and the following mods, what kind of 1/4 times would he likely to get? Thanks
AEM CAI
DC JDM 4-1 header with 2.5' collector
Comptech 6.75 lb flywheel
Carsound high flow cat
B pipe adapter
NGK copper plugs
Magnecor 8.5mm wires
JDM 4.785 FD with + GS-R 5th gear
Toda clutch

If he races in my area, at 2800 ft elevation w/ temperaturs around 60-65 f, he'd probably pull a mid 14. Maybe 14.45 14.65. It really depends on elevation and temperature though.
BTW, how does he like the Toda clutch? Do you know if it's really stiff? Any info would be great, thanks.

I don't know about the clutch, he is getting it put on this week, but once he does I will let you know. 15's? I wasn't thinking that high. Stock ITR's can do better than that. This would be in Orlando, Florida if ran.

If I'm not mistaken Orlando is pretty close to sea level. If he goes at night w/ temps around 55, he'd probably pull a low 14 and potentially 13.99. Do you know if he's planning on hitting up the track any time soon?
In 70 degree weather I ran the time in my sig with just a homemade CAI ,JDM 4-1 and a test pipe. That was on street tires with the interior out.

definetly a mid to low 13 w/ that kind of work

Well next time I go down to visit him we plan on hitting Orlando up with my Civic and his R, but I don't know when that will be.

mod all you want. is the person a good driver is the question.
i have heard of people hitting low 14's with my mods and the best i have put down is 14.8. i'll admit i probably suck at driving. so it is mostly a driver race

see my sig, i got less than that and im consistant low 13.8's now. prob can squeeze 13.7
its all about the driver. . . . . also without slicks theres no way that car will go that fast. street tires wont do **** for that car on the strip. im even having a problem with my slicks hooking right now.

If you guys come to Orlando, hit me up I live 15 min from the track. yea orlando is at sea level. I don't recommend running street tires though. With the colder weather traction is harder to get.
I have a friend with not even close to that done to his car and ran a 13.9 but he had a traction bar(very good investment) I would say high 13's with a decent driver maybe get a mid 13 with a great driver
It all depends on elevation, temperature, and humidity... run your R's on a drag strip on top of the Colorado mountains at 85 degree temperatures (hypothetical) and then run them on a drag strip right next to the beach in northern California at night w/ 45 degree temperatures with no humidity (again hypothetical) and I'm sure you'll be quite impressed by the time difference.
