ZEX ZEX ZEX Install on D16A6, Detailed, Lots Of Questions
Hey guys
Im new but Im not a "nOOb", Ive been on Team Integra for a long time, but my GSR was stolen so I bought a crx and Im making a god dam sleeper.
For now Im only gonna do some bolt ons and this zex kit, just need some help installing, its a dry kit and I want a 65 shot
On the Zex Unit it says Regulator and has what looks like you have to connect a hose to it. Just below that it says Intake, also witht he same type of fitting that a hose could fit over. I dont know what comes from these nor what hooks to them
On the other side of the box it has a BLACK/RED/WHITE wires, black is ground but what are the other 2 wires?
Also, the little jets it comes with, I can figure out where to put the Nitrous one because it goes into the thing that goes into the intake but where does the FUEL jet go?
If anyone has a guide or anything Id greatly appreciate it
Ive had this kit for a long time to go on my gsr but never got aorund to it, Im glad I didnt, but the instructions werent helpful anyways but they were also stolen
SO any guides or links to installing a Zex kit on a D16A6 would be VERY VERY VERY VERY helpful
I only get 5 posts a day so please help

Im in the same boat, Ive got the kit infront of my and cant figure out where to put the fuel injector nor do I know what to connect o the 2 ***** coming off of the purple box
For the INTAKE hose it says to connect to an unused vacuum fitting on the intake, How do I know if its a vacuum and should there be any unused? Does it matter which one?

1) Those are vacuum hose barbs. The one labeled "REGULATOR" goes to your FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. Connect a vacuum line from that barb to your FPR.
2) The barb labeld "intake" goes to the port on the intake manifold that the original FPR line went to. It should be right in the middle.
As for the jets, you have to unscrew one of the barbs on the purple box. Select your "fuel" jet size and put it in there. (I dont have the instructions in front of me, so this is all from memory) I believe it's the REGULATOR barb. Then the other jet goes on the end of the nozzle that sprays into the intake.

RED = Power
BLACK = Ground
WHITE = TPS signal (throttle position sensor)
You have to tap one of the wires on your TPS. I believe it was the middle wire?
I'll dig out my instruction booklet when I get home. But I believe that's about it. You also have to "program" the box before trying to squeeze. From what I remember, you have to press and hold the button on the box for a few seconds and it'll blink red. Turn the car to ON (but not start it) and hold your throttle pedal to the floor. After about 10 seconds, check the box, it should be a solid green color. Test out the system by arming it and press it WOT. (don't turn on the bottle obviously) You just want to test the solenoids if they open or not.
Good luck and I'll update it later tonight when I find the booklet.
