It's header...edelbrock may not be the place to go for an import header either...they make a good header, but i'd say look around. It depends what your doing with your exhaust system as a whole. What exhausts are your looking at (if any)?

i believe the n1 is 2.36" piping...there's a bottleneck right there if u get the edelbrock.

the edelbrock is 2.5" piping genious. If he goes from 2.5" from the header to 2.36" in the exhaust that is what we call a bottleneck.

so what. there's a reason people have 3 inch collectors and go to 2 1/2 inch exhausts or even less.

you're not always going to go by the collector to mate the exhaust.

lol, you are retarded. So you are promoting bottlenecks... And people who have 3 inch collecters probably don't need 3 inches. They made the mistake of buying a header with a 3 inch collecter in the first place.

Who's retarded here??

The Edelbrock header is a 1.75" primaries with 2.2" secondaries, with the stock cat outlet which isn't any larger than 2.25".

Where do you get that its 2.5" piping? The IB mod header has a 2.5" outlet for use with a JDM cat.

I read that it was 2.5" piping. And going from 2.5" into 2.36" is a bottleneck...

Its not 2.5"!!! Learn the facts, and where ever you read that, its wrong

So no, its not a bottleneck! If you don't know, don't act like you know!

I just went a measured one, and its actually a 2" secondaries and a 2.125" outlet.

Not sure I want to know a lot about smelly brown stuff!

Oh, and the Edelbrock header does make more power than a DC sports 4-2-1 header, 3whp more.

Did you also know, that you can have smaller piping in the cat-back than the header outlet?? As the exhaust gasses cool, the air gets more dense the further away from the engine you go. So there wont be a bottleneck.

EDIT: For claification, I know the topic is headers and bottle necks It's already covered and I felt like ******* around. Internet communciation sucks!

It depends on your setup, if you are worried about emissions and want to use the stock cat, that no, don't modify the collector. If you want to run an upgrade cat, like a JDM or other 2.5" cat or test pipe, then I would get the IB modded 2.5" collector.
