Is there any difference between say... a d16y8 and a d16y7? I know the internals are probally different between the Y7 and the Y8 but other then that is it possible to make the same engine from the 2 blocks if you used the same head?
I know that the heads are totally different.

The main reason I'm asking is, if I buy a block and build it from the ground up I want to know if all 1.6s are the same, or if there is a better block.
