I'm trying to get the car cause my current beater needs too much and this CRX has under 90k on the clock and not a dent anywhere...
But actually I do like the look of them
So 195-50-15 should work, has anyone had them on their car? could someone post a pic of some wheels on a 1st gen crx ???
thanks.

If you've ever had one you might understand a little better. I miss mine like crazy and wish i had never let it go, despite all its problems. That little thing could move........and it looked good too

I wouldn't go any bigger than 15" with standard offset. Don't get anything wider than a 6.5" rim or the tires will hit the rear fenders. Even at that, on my '86 I had to grind away the lip that most people roll with a bat. That's just my car though...
I'd post a pic, but my CRX is on 4 jackstands in the garage with no rear suspension and no powerplant.
If you want to run bigger wheels & tires, or significantly lower it, then get the genuine Mugen replica street body kit from Jamie Houseman - http://www.racegearbox.com.
Finally, there is nothing wrong with a 1G CRX. If you don't like the looks of them, good for you. At 1956lbs for a stock Si, they've got tons of performance potential with a DOHC swap and some suspension. The DX & HF's are even lighter.
In fact, being the owner of both generations of CRX, I prefer the 86 over the chunkier 90.
To each his own...

Damn look at my post at the time.
4x100MM
All Civic's* have the same bolt pattern and same off set.
A rim that will fit a 1989 CRX would fit a 86 CRX
A rim that will fit a 2000 Civic would fit a 86 CRX
Shall I break it down more?
* Not sure if that would include 1st and 2nd gen civic's
