LT1 is a piece of **** with nowhere near 430 from the factory, more like 275 right? LT4, is that a particular C4 Corvette motor or what did it come from? I remember Corvettes went from LT1 to LS1 in 97, F-Bodies in 98.

LS6

LT1 had 275 i think and the LT4 was just over 300. nowhere close to 430. But with enough money you can get almost anything done.

Yeah, but that's with factory backing, money, engineering and support, if I'm not mistaken.

well my good friend, why dont we just put a ghini v12 in there while were at it then turbo it, buy gerbils to run the AC system from a cage in the front seat. SINCE THERE WONT BE ROOM IN THE ENGINE BAY FOR A PIECE OF PAPER let alone anything else. and we can do that whole 70's raked look since the motor is going to put the nose of the car into the sewer as it is... (dont worry guys, i can bust his *****, he is a friend of mine)

typical newbie thread. I would imagine putting the whole rwd thing into play would be the biggest headache

Why would you want to? The weight distribution would be just plain wrong for a rwd car. There's no way you could get most the motor weight behind the front axle. You're better off finding a front drive 350 and mounting it in the trunk. Also throw some wheelie bars on it (it's not like it'll be able to do anything but a straight line anyway.

If you're looking for a cheap/lighter car to put a lt1, ls6, whatever in, check out some of the cheaper cobra kits, or mid 70's MGB. You need something with an engine bay laid out for FR.

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it'd just be more effort than it's worth, and the car you'd have in the end would probably be less than 50% civic anyway.

I just wasted way to much time here
