Yesterday i had my car up on a lift to check out a rattling noise which i thought was the heatshield, and it turned out that the insides of my brand new 2.5" carsound cat had all come apart and the cat was ruined. I only had it on my car for a little over a month with my DC JDM header and greddy exhaust...everything else stock. I'm wondering if anyone else has had bad experiences with this cat...if so what did you do? I'm gonna call up magnaflow sometime soon and see what they'll do for me.

 

how long was ur cat? was it customed fitted?

 

Has your car been fuel tuned? If you were dumping fuel into the cat it for sure will do that.

 

it was the regular 2.5" carsound...ordered it from inline-four, welded the flange on, and bolted it right up. And no, the car is completely stock besides the full exhaust, never been tuned.
