I just found out that M. SCHUMACHER has been wearing Bell helmet for nine years until recently change it to a German brand helmet called Schuberth. If it's good enough for F1, it's good enough for us for sure.

 

Yeah but his helmet costs SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS.

I don't think anything the general population can get from Bell comes even close to what Schumacher uses. Good for bragging rights - but nothing else.

 

Of course BFR, would be stupid if I think that F1 racers will use a Bell Sport II. I just surprise an F1 top racer is using Bell helmet. Bell is not as well known as Shoei, Arai, OMP and Bieffe in Asia and Europe.

 

If I'm not mistaken, the only reason Schumacher switched from Bell was because the other helmet maker offered him ALOT more money to wear their helmet. I vaguely remember reading about this on one of the F1 news sites. Dont quote me though.

 

Bell sued his *** for it. He broke the contract.

 

True, Schumacher used to wear a Bell. And he did break his contract--from the best of my understanding.

There are others that wear Bell Helmets in the F1 arena...

For those interetseted those types of helmets (open cockpit), look into the Bell Fueling II. Those are used in CART racing also...
