yes to both questions
Well I checked out the fluid. Looks like it has never been changed. Plus I see there might be little particle bits. So Im just going to leave the transimission fluid alone, until the Enigne blows up and Ill buy a new one for the next engine.
if there is **** in the fluid you should flush the system and get all of it out. the last thing you want/need is for it to get stuck in the pump and have the trans launch when you are out in the middle of nowhere. that is how horror movies start and people get cornholed.

Don't change the fluid if its dark and shitty looking. I don't remember the reason but I remember this being drilled into my head in tranny class in college. I didn't remember much about autos for obvious reasons but I'm sure somebody here could tell you the reason. All I know is what I was told and that it will burn up the tranny REAL quick.
If you change your atf you might make your tranny shift smoother. Use Honda atf only. Consider changing the atf a couple times to get rid of all the shavings.
Or since you said the tranny has never been serviced, the gears might get used to the currentl fluid and if you change it, it might make it slip.

As he said Honda ATF only. Honda automatics are a unique design. All other automatics are a planetary gear set design.
If the tranny fluid is really bad, just get a low mileage JDM auto tranny instead.
Check the line pressure. It's the cable going from the trans to the throttle body. Tighten the deflection to spec according to the repair manual.
