I Need Ideas On How T o Stop A Water Leak In My Civic!!!!
...so the scenario goes like this.....
i just finished installing my JL VR600csi components in my 92 civic 4 door...dynamatted the doors up alittle bit, put it all back together, and went to work. it rains for like a half hour or so while i'm there. i get off and start up the car and right speaker is distorting and then i smell THE smell.........
WTF?!
anyway long story short..the bitch locked up on me
....took the door panel off and water was just dripping off the the mid driver...
anybody else have a situation like this?????remedy????i guess i'm gonna have to make a little hood or something quick before my other one goes out....
all suggestions appreciated....thanks, mike

Some water [rain] is always going to get into your door, thats why they put drain holes in the bottem of the door, but your door, you need to fix the seals.
Did you use the oem speaker mounts, or did you make custom ones?
There are a few ways to protect your speakers, XTC caps and others like them, drapes, [plastic or cloth flaps that hang over speaker] or the oem speaker mounts, if the speakers fit.
hope this helps. 94
