distributor crack.. still good i think, please confirm
hey... found this today. I dont think the crack will effect much, maybe a little oil dribble.
what do you think? This part does not rotate at all, just hold the o-ring there.

Use it. You might want to start looking for a new one. It will drip some oil. Where did the missing piece go. I hope it is not in the head

O-rings seal against the inner & outer surfaces. Look whether the bottom of the groove is smooth, & the inside of the hole (in the head) is smooth. The O-ring doesn't seal against the surface that's broken.
Use a NEW O-ring, like everyone says.
What happened? Use a crowbar to take off the distributor?

naw i wasnt paying attention and put the dist on with the taper facing the wrong way. When I took it off that happened.
thanks for the advice
i think i know what you mean with the hondabond/o rings... i took off my oil pump and the o ring was almost eaten away by the hondabond! it was all brittle and mended itself to the hondabond
