My pics are shitty quality, but i dont see much if any distinction between the gsr and b16 cam pics? How can i tell, i wanna install these tomorrow morning if they are in fact what i purchased??
So its those two rings that make the difference? I saw them on a friends set of cams, but i didnt think it was a specific model difference, maybe just a diff. between the 94+ 's
my gsr cams had a larger lobe (and wider)on the pass side exhaust valve compared to my b16a1
X V M X= lobe im talking about
CAM v= vtec lobe
CAM M= "main lobe"
X V M this is how my b16a cams looked while the gsr cams X and M where almost equal in side

Well, apparently according to this thread, GSR and b16a2/3 are the same size cams.... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=408933
So as long as they are not b16a might as well keep them eh?

after reading and searching on h-t about cams, i found that the cams that i recieved from a friend were 95-00jdm/97-99us itr cams. I've almost noticed that b series cams have a letter code on them (my example.----[int cam] has a "F" code /// [ext cam] has a "E" code) on it. Now, could it be that for each specific motor there is letter code match like as:::
[int cam] code "A" with [ext cam] code "B"
[int cam] code "C" with [ext cam] code "D"
[int cam] code "E" with [ext cam] code "F" .....................
cause thats what it seem like to me!
just a thought. OR maybe its just old news to you guys!!??

Can u check to see what the letters on yours are?
I wonder if there are distinctions between b16a and b16a2/3 then. Nobody is disputing the claim of b16a2/3 = b18c1

There is a H on both intake and exhaust, and you can tell cams apart by looking at the rings on hte intake side, as I said and showed.
And no, GSR and B16A cams are not the same.
