Yep I never had missed a rally yet unless I was just not at home..they normally get replayed on the weekend however. I bet very few saw first race of Deutsch Tourenwagen Masters seres or DTM(german touring car masters) at Hockenheim last Fri night around 8:30 my time. The Mercs mostly dominated the race however the Audi TTr fought for top ten finishes. The new Opel Astra look sweet but so far haven't had any luck in the first race.

It's the WRC...all the big guns.. Tommi Makinen (EVO VII) Colin McRae (Rally Focus)... Richard Burns(WRX).. also Citroen Xsara T4, Peugeot 206 WRC.....I forget the others I think Seat has an entry as well as Skoda

to wet your appetite here's a shot of Tommi doing what Tommi does best

I'll let you guys know Burns is closing up the gap on championship points and if he does well in the Brit rally he could take it if bad luck befalls Tommi or Colin.

Too bad he going to the french team next yr but atleast were getting Tommi on Subaru team. I believe the the fight is going to be BURNS and McRae in the final round as there both good on the brit rally and only now few points from each other. Tommi would have to hope for both driver drop out to win since he's still smarting from his crash 2 rounds ago in France.

Who won the rally last night? I only got to watch the first half

Pat, who wouldn't get out of bed with a cracked vertebrae, let alone drive like Makkinen did

Here are the results from Australia:
1. GRONHOLM, Peugeot
2. BURNS, Subaru
3. AURIOL, Peugeot
4. ROVANPERA, Peugeot
5. McRraeCRAE, Ford
6. MAKINEN, Mitsubishi

The championship table looks like this:
1. Colin McRae 42
2. Tommi Makinen 41
3. Richard Burns 40

That is going to make for one glorious finish in the last rally of the season in Britain!

I love the WRC

Thanks, Flux!!

Now when is SV airing the last round?

Pat, who's apparently too lazy to hit the SV site himself

The RAC Rally of Great Britian will be on speedvision December 10 at 9 eastern.

Hope you can all get to see it.

Anyone know when Speedvision will have more DTM racing on?

I can help you out there too...

Speedvision is airing the WRC Rally of Britian at 9:00 PM eastern time on December 10th.

Remember, this is not a live broadcast, so if you want some drama while watching it stay away from WRC news between now and then...

Heh, they were going ***** out on the last few stages...my jaw hit the floor when colin started pushing it and he caught his first big air of the event, and then that lancer that was up to about a 30 degree nose-up angle and rotating...w00f. Too bad about the focus nailing that tree, that was a hell of a hit...and i hadn't seen the makinen crash into the mountain where be broke his back and his navigator got nailed...that incar was breathtaking. How the frame stopped like 20 feet from the wall, they were coookin.....those cars are super-rigid.

If you want to follow the action as it arrives day by day before you see the SV verison you can goto the FIA site and watch as it unfolds day by day I believe final round Network Q rally GB starts on Nov 22-25.
Ford or Peugeot could win the manufactures which I believe Ford has the best chance if it places Carlos Sainz up in the top5. Carlos Sainz is the wild card of the top 3 drivers. I would believe Ford will have Carlos either clear roads if not hender Tommi or Burns if Ford gets the chance. I don't think Tommi can win unless McRae and Burns DNF or have serious car problems. Though even then Carlos Sainz would then charge to the front to still it away from Tommi not mention two Peugeot drivers Marcus Gronholm and Harri Rovanpera.

But it's like last yr it was all settled in the Brit round where Burns and McRae do so well at.

I just hope Tommi back heals for practices starting in 3-4 months from now for Subaru as I'm sure he will be #1 driver, though I'm sure Petter Solberg will not make it east on Tommi.

For those who are interested the best site for up to the minute WRC results is:

http://www.worldrallynews.com

They have the results from each stage a few minutes after the first car finishes
