good lord.. what color is your car? You can buy a gsr for that! To repaint my side was $2,000-3,000 ( basically half of the car). All dents removed too.

Good body shops that use good paint will often charge this amount. I can go get my car painted for $800 but it's garbage. I've been quoted $6k+ without painting the engine bay. I know people that have $15k+ paint jobs. Unless you are a body mechanic or have friends that will give you a hook up. It's not cheap. Have you ever stripped down a car to bare metal, fixed the dents and dings, and completely re-painted it? I have a little experience with that and it's not fun at all. Body work is the biggest pain in the butt of all time if you want it done right.

that sounds a bit steep. Look around before you make your decision.

you say your car is dented does that mean, like the roof is dented through the floor panels? Cause thats what would cost 8grand to fix haha but if you want a really good paintjob on every square inch of the car then yeah itll cost at least 8grand if its gonna be a show car, but if you just want a new color thatll look nice id say go somewhere else

I had all my dents removed, trunk shaved, moldings shaved, and the whole car repainted factory color. Plus I had the front end straightened from a wreck, the a/c and power steering replaced, and the whole front end body pieces replaced for $4200.

wow, thats insane!
i had my front bumper, headlights put in, straighten and align the front, pull out rear quarter panel, remove all dents and have my car primered for 500. then i had the car sanded down, painted champ white, baked, and had my type-r rims painted over, all for 900.

so my car came out dentless, the holes a former body shop forgot to shave shaved, front bumper emblem shaved, and totally painted (excluding door jams, etc) for 1400

car looks super fresh too btw.

I'm having my whole car repainted same color, dents removed, wing holes filled, emblems shaved, and side skirts painted, along w/ 4 coats of clear, wetsanding and buffing for $1000 including materials.

Friend is doing it, his work looked like this 1.5 year ago, and he's gotten better since then:

New Formula Red, 8 coats plus 4 coats of clear

hey go to http://www.707imports.com, apparently a guy on the forum called "melt" got a pretty good paint job for about 600 in concord. no dents removed or emblems shaved or engine bay repainted. the paint job does look pretty good by the way.

****, does that 8 G come with a tube of ky? If you are painting it the same color (why do that if you're taking up all that time anyways?) you don't need the engine bay, door jams, or the inside of the trunk painted since it isn't exposed to the sunlight like the rest of the car so it is basically the original unfaded color. They probably included all that stuff in the est. shop around more and if you are going to spend that much why not get it painted a one-off color.

i suppose if you figure taking every piece off the car individually painting it perfectly and removing all the dents and shaving everything which is alot of work.... but still maybe for 3 or 4 k.... 8 is just.....way too much. hmmm sell my car for 8... take the 8 that costs for a paint job and buy an itr.... interesting.

Hell, I got a car repaired (quarter panel, bumper, valence) and repainted (the whole car) for $2000 with 3M paint and a lifetime warranty. You're kindof getting ripped.
