eps eagle rods and sir eagle rods, difference?
i just got my eagle rods in the mail and theres a X marked on a box thats labled esp h-beam rods and theres a label that isnt marked that says sir h-beam rods...i know i got the right one, im just curious as to the difference.
The ESP rods are better, rated at more horsepower than the SIR rods. The SIR rods are much better than stock, also with ARP bolts and bushed for floating pins, but are more of an economy rod than the ESP.
Also, I'm not sure here, but SIR rods are I-beam (like stock), and ESP are H-beam.

No sir means they are not for use with the typeS pistons.
The extreme Duty" H-beam connecting rods come with ARP "Custom Age 625+" bolts and are more expensive.
All Eagles are H beam

That is an aweful bold statement. Did you know that these rods are made for many engines, including small and big block V8s?
Whether or not the Honda version of the SIR rod is H-beam or I-beam, there is still significant differences between the SIR and ESP rods.
But not to worry, because you have the better ones.

eagle is a company that makes nothing but rods. not only that, but pretty much one style rod. i have never seen a rod made by eagle for any motor that was not h-beam

ESP's and HD's available. Not very bold...Just another rod I sell

How about the most common one made:

Like I said, it is an aweful bold statement to say that all Eagle rods are H-beam, when what you really want to say is all Honda rods made by Eagle are H-beam. Long before Eagle made rods for Honda they made them for the big 3, most of which use I-beam rods stock, and all of which have I-beam rods under the SIR moniker.
And, Eagle also makes crankshafts among other engine components.

Sorry I was referring to Hondas since this is a Honda forum. You are going to make someone a good wife.
OK I should have said all Honda Eagles are H beams rather than all Eagles are H beams. I was wrong and I apoligize for all the confusion I caused.
