Default Polishing exhaust

If I polish my aftermarket muffler with Mothers Polish, would it change color due
to heat or anything like that.?

Best success I personally have had was using mothers chrome polish (liquid form) and then going back over it with mothers carnuba wax (paste form). The shine will last longer, and it'll be easier to polish it up next time
