just wanted to say, nice little forum you have here. Glad to be aboard

My problems:

I have an '89 CRX with 184k miles on it, which I dearly love....was driving home from work, and it started sputtering....now, I thought it just needed a tuneup, went and bought the wires, plugs, proceeded to change them out. Found I had oil in the sparkplug hole....argh!!

My questions:

I am thinking either bad rings or a hole in a piston...any thoughts on other possibilities?

any thoughts on what it would cost to fix either problem?

The car has been very good to me, and I would hate to see it junked/parted out if the fix is not to expensive.

On the other hand, would hate to drop money into it, if its better off dead....is it even worth it to fix?

Yea its worth fixing. I'd check the tube seals before I jumped on to bigger things.
