Default Help me choose pistons.

I'm trying to start my rebuild. I need oversized pistons that will land me in the 12:1 to 12:5 compression range. What are my options. This will be with an LS crank and GSR head, head is not milled.

CTR's would put me over 12:5 expecially with head milled.

just ctr pistons. dont mill the head. c speed says it'll be about 12.6 to 1. right about where u want it. but thats with the stock bore. i dont think honda makes anything bigger than .25 over. but with the .25 over it yields about 12.7:!. if your going bigger than that than i would go aftermarket.

You'll be fine.
My bro has the same setup in a lsvtec.
No tune it spanks the crap out of a similar integra with a JDM Type R swap
This is on 93 octane

I do not want to use CTR pistons. What other choices do I have?

slap some jdm P30's on some LS rods... should give you 11.8:1 with the GSR head.

heres a nice link to try out different setups and see what C/R you get: http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

I say go w/ wiseco's, they are by far the best aftermarket pistons imo, check out the import builders comparison here:

I think the next pistions in line behind the CTRs in terms of compression are JDM B16 P30 pistons. I don't think they will get you in your target range though. You can check C-Speed or some other online spec sites to see aprox compression.
