What is this?

What is that large line that runs just behind the engine and over the blue vacuum line? It runs down in front of my tranny and then just stops. Its a pain in the *** and I just want to take it out. Can I?

edit.. haha

i've been working on my car too much... my brian is kinda fried. hehe LOL

that is the clutch cable. I used a DA one in my ef hb gsr. Try running it under the IM. In my case it worked out better & much cleaner look

if you have a cable tranny, it's the clutch cable. do not take this out

It is "not" a speedo cable!! The car uses a cable clutch and "thats" the cable that connects your clutch pedal to your transmision. If its in the way a bit, just use some zip ties and fassten it lower to the fuel rail so its out of the way.

After reading the description again, that is what it is, clutch cable.

Yeah, I dont think it is. It just goes down in front of the tranny, and stops, right behind my radiator hose.

In that case, it is your clutch cable and if it wasn't hooked up to anything you wouldn't be able to shift gears.
