the problem with vortech fuel rails (and others)
well of all of the things delaying me from finishing my buildup, the fuel rail has been the biggest headache. now, the only reasons i bought the fuel rail were because 1) i needed a fpr, 2) the fpr placement on the stock rail was in the way of my IAT sensor with the skunk2 manifold, 3) the vortech rail had the fpr in a different spot and came with an adjustable fpr, so i figured i might as well get it to kill two birds with one stone.
it should have been just what i needed, had it worked as it was supposed to.
the first time i got it together, it was leaking very bad out around one of the injectors, so figuring that the injector o-rings were old and shot, i ordered new ones from honda and put it back together. so i pressurize it, and now its leaking so much gas out of an injector that there is a puddle under the car within 5 seconds
take it all apart again, and i finally see the problem: the chamfers on the injector holes were just a 45deg machine cut that had a sharp edge on them that was butchering the injector o-rings when i pushed them into the rail:

compare that to the oem rail with a nice smooth radiused chamfer:

at this point i had about had it with the fuel rail, and wanted to send it back, but id been delayed too long getting the car out that i spent the better part of two hours giving the vortech rail smooth radiused chamfers on all of the injector holes:

iv heard that others have had problems with other companies fuel rails, so if you are installing one on your car, definitely something to look out for. after smoothing out the chamfers and making sure the o-rings were well oiled before installing it, the problem has gone away finally.

AEM Fuel rails do not have a chamfer they are radiused exactly like a stock one.
They even come with brand new o-rings and you can utilize the stock pulse dampener. Who ever designed those is great

I never had any leaking problems with my AEM fuel rail or FPR
