I want to buy this exhaust but need to know if it is legal in the states. I can get it from a japanese dealer but dont want to spend the money if they are going to make me take it off when they figure out its illegal. Please anyone that can help let me know! :confused

I want to buy one too, it is cheap for a Japanese exhaust.
But do you know that, that exhaust is come out from the back at the passenger side.

 

Yeah its a cool exhaust especially for its price. But I have heard that it isnt legal in the states. So I am crossing my fingers that it is.

 

you need to check your local DMV for the exhaust db allowed for your year vehicle and above.

here in Connecticut you cannot have an exhaust system that is louder than 72db at 35mph on a vehicle that is from 1972 or 1979 :can't remember which one: and above.

you can look up your laws via the internet.

 

Well the buddy club spec 2 was rated at 120 db. I am assuming that that is illegal in the US.
