trunk springs
so im trying to mount my speakers but these trunk springs get in the way..
i tried for madd long to pry them out to no avail..the part closest to me budges but the part that seems that would most likely move doesn't budge at all..anybody have a easy way to remove them ...and what negative effects will there be to removing the springs.. will my trunk pop up right away when i open it or not pop open at all..thanks in advance

To have any hope of removing the trunk springs you have to have the trunk closed close to all the way. And yes if you remove them and leave them out your trunk will not pop open and most likely it will no longer stay open by itself.
Not only will the trunk not stay open without the springs but it will not pop open using the release because of the weight of the trunk lid itself. I installed the OEM spoiler myself and changed out the original springs for the heavier duty ones that came with the spoiler kit... With the springs removed the trunk is pretty useless. is the part that you are running into a problem with the whole length of the spring or can you just trim off the last part at the end? That's all I had to do was to get rid of about an inch or so of the very end of the one Spring. (1993 Accord EX here)
