I thought i had all the hoses hooked up right, but since the a6 mani and the y8 mani are differnt i am having some problems. My car starts and runs, but it idles high like 1800 rpms, and it bogs at like 4500 or so, and i read some info on it might being a vaccum line thing. Can anyone help me please, i have run out of ideas, this is my first motor rebuild job. If you have the same setup and can draw a diagram of how they all hook up that would be great thanks.

 

it depends on the year and whether its auto.

the later years have some kinf of air injection, which causes a bad vacuum leak unless the holes are welded up.. they are located on each injector bung.

 

i guess i should be more specific, the mani and head are off of a 96 honda ex, it was a standard, thanks for the reply

This might help a little. I had the same problem... all parts, but no hoses.

Anyway, I have a Z6 block - super similar to the A6 block.
