Default Hey, new guy on HT here.

Alright so.. I've never posted here before but I've lurked quite a few times since I picked up my 95 dx coupe in August '03 .. my original plan was to save up for a swap, but after a couple of speeding tickets and general expenses of living I'm going against that; it's just too expensive and unnecessary.. for now (it's still something I desire, in the future we will see what happens).

Anyways I have saved up a bit of cash recently and have decided to finally get down to makin some minor modifications to my car, and I'm here looking for recommendations on brands, what kinda prices I should be lookin to pay, and a couple other things.

What I want to start out with is suspension, rims, and tint.. and oh a tach would be nice.. I like the JDM SiR gauge cluster, but I may settle for whatever I can grab from the junkyard depending.

In terms of suspension I'm pretty ignorant.. I wanna drop my car some.. what's a good amount, and on what? Combined with some 16" rims with ..what size tires? I want to keep the speedometer accurate and have as small a wheel gap as is reasonable.

Then the tint.. well what looks good and is still legal in Ontario?

Any advice is appreciated.

There are many options for a suspension depending on how much you wanna drop, how harsh you want your ride to be, and how much you want to spend. Me personally i have drop about 1.8-2.3 inches all around.

For a Tach i would just try to find an Ex/Si cluster at the junkyard.

hr sports are a good newbie spring,
you can run your stock shocks(not forever, but probly for some years), it doesnt drop so much that you run into camber, scraping, harsh ride, suspension travel problems,
but it does drop it enough so its a good deal noticeable and gives you a nice lowered stance look.

its a much more aggressive drop than eibach prokits, and a bit lower than neuspeed sports.

get those and the wheel of your choice,
tire sizes you can choose from
16x7 wheel:
205-45-16(optimum)
205-40-16(superskinny)
15x6.5 wheel:
205-50-15(the usual)
195-50-15(lowest profile, stock diameter)
