Default VOLK/Wheel questions

K, here's the low down, I just bought some VOLK GT-P's, 17x7 and I think +37 offset, for my 96 Coupe. I am waiting for a new tire b/c one I have is bunk, but I had to throw one on to see what they are gonna look like. Now my car is dumped to all get out, but I'm going to have to raise it b/c it just doesn't work. But I have some questions.

1-While trying to put the one on, I found out that I dont really have a good lugnut tool to put the lugs on and all mine were to big for lug holes on the wheels. So, anyone run into this before? I can get them pretty tight by rigging some stuff up, but I dont feel that it is safe.

2- As I got them tight and lowered the car back down, my inner fender caught on the tire, so I wanted to know if I could roll the inner lip of the fender so the tire will clear?

Any other VOLK users feel free to chime in and give a new VOLK owner some tips, b/c these rims are sick and I dont wanna **** them up.

You have a low offset, I'm running +44 on my GT-N's, and they have a clearance of about a half inch till they hit the lip of the fender. Rolling your fenders should help give you some clearance.

K, thanks. How exactly would I go about rolling them under, I know they are flimsy and I'll probably just take my time and roll them with my hands and some rubber tipped plyers.

I figured that offset wasn't the best but for 1200 bux I couldn't pass these up.

Any help on the lugs would be cool.

No no no...

To properly roll your fenders, you have to take it to a custom shop with the right tool. The tool mounts onto your wheel hub and has a large arm with a poly wheel. They'll slowly increase the radius of the tool (distance from hub to poly wheel) while rotating it around your wheel arch to roll the lip. Any shop that works on VWs can do it.

Get Volk lugs or McGard Splinedrives. Most others are total junk...
