Default 1993 integra: differences between trim levels?

i did a search, and didn't find anything i was looking for, so ive come here. i'm looking to sell my EJ8 and get a DA quite possibly, if the price is right. i'd like to save some money by not getting a GS-R, but i don't know what i'm giving up on.

so, what are the differences between the trim levels?

thanks in advance, sorry for being an integra newb. ive been a civic guy for 5 years.

LS = base model. 1.8l non-vtec engine
GS = LS + options (wheels, spoiler, etc)
GS-R = sportier model. 1.7l vtec (b17a), more fun in the twisties etc.

The main disadvantage with the GS-R that I know of is that there are very few 2nd gen GS-Rs in existence. This makes parts (both performance and repair oriented aftermaket much more difficult to find).

you forgot the RS trim which is the base model, not the LS.

it goes RS, LS, GS, GS-R

RS, LS, GS all b18a nonvtec engines only difference was options installed in the car, ie. pw, pl, alloys.

GS-R is a GS with a b17 engine which is basically a stroked b16. and most b16 & b18c parts are interchangeable with the b17. hell swap in some 2001 itr cams and valve springs and call it a day.

actually rs is the base model with no abs/ power windows & locks, and ls' come with spoilers too. There were different wheel and hubcap options through out90-93 in all models except for gsr. There is also an ls-special that look exactly like a gsr except it has leather and the b18a/b. The gsr and ls-s have painted moldings, mirrors, handles, and front lips. The gsr has a third break light on the spoiler and has "vtec" written in the fender piece of the moldings instead of "dohc" like the other models have, and has an 8k redline.
thats all i can think of for right now
^edit^ he posted the rs stuff while i was writing this^

RS - no power options, no AC [lightest model ]

LS - no power options, no AC [i dunno whats the diff from the RS]

GS - leather... cept for a few [like me] power everything, sunroof, AC, spoiler, ABS

GSR - rare, b17a... fun stuff

just get the RS, you'll have more fun

The LS will often have power windows (no power locks), sunroof, a/c, no abs, steelies with hubcaps, cloth seats. Otherwise, I think that breakdown is pretty accurate.

a/c and abs must have been an option for ls'...i have a couple of friends w/ it. And gsrs do have their 3rd break light on the spoiler instead of the hatch like the other models...i have a gsr

ls/s didn't come w/ leather, but was an option. came w/ the black/tan interior that was mostly black. it also came standard w/ alloys and a spoiler. i've never been in a DA that had power door locks. my LS has power moonroof, power windows, AC, and cruise. leather was an option for gsr's, gs's, and ls/s's. ABS was an option for 92-93 ls, gs and i think came standard on gsr's. I dont think there was a 92-93 ls/s. oh, 90-91 integra's all had the b18a thats rated at 130hp. 92-93 came w/ the b18a rated at 140hp. the gsr is only 92-93 and rated at 160hp. i can't really think of anything else, oh, the ls/s doesn't have painted moldings.

awesome information guys. from what i've gathered, then, it would be pointless to get a GS-R over the GS if i wanted power everything and was going for a motor swap anyway. right?

The amount of mis-information in this thread is awesome .

It's like going to a mustang forum asking about a saab.

damn, you beat me to it.

here is some good info: SEARCH

and my 90 LS does have A/C, manual windows and lock, power sunroof, alloys, auto trans, double-din radio with digital equalizer(dealer installed).

the main differences between the LS and GS are: standard power windows and locks(they were optional on LS), standard air-conditioning(optional on LS), alloy wheels, spoiler, optional leather seats, adjustable side-bolsters on front seats...there may be some more. (damn, i am being summoned to leave)

the main differences between the GS and GS-R are: drivetrain(as stated above), painted mouldings, spoiler with 3rd LED brake light, true dual tipped exhaust, red-striped cloth seats(leather was dealer option on both models), gauge marking differences, and upgraded tires on same alloys. also, only certain colors were on the GS-R.
i am not aware of any suspension differences, were there any?
