has anyone replaced their sunroof on their crx with a glass one?
if so, what car's sunroof did you use.
i was thinking about using a 88-91 civic roof

 

Mine was like this when I got it. I thought it was an SI when I bought it cause I knew they had sunroofs but I didnt know what they actually looked like

I think it's just a universal sunroof. Here's a few pictures I found of it..

 

yeh i thought that the only sunroofs that were available for those cars were the painted/metal ones....also those aftermarket glass ones blow ***, they leak and rattle

 

I actually like the glass ones better than the factory ones. Mine doesnt rattle at all. It only leaks a slight amount when there is a TON of water coming down on top of it and Im fixing that soon, (but I live in southern california and it hardly ever sees water anyways)

Sure, its nice to have it open with the push of a button but I like being able to see out it at all times and there's less stuff to break and go wrong. I've heard so many stories of how peoples' factory sunroof motor is busted or the thing is rusting away.

 

sorry you can't use the 88-91 civic glass sunroof on the crx metal sunroof...it too big for the crx. but there are however a factory glass sunroof that come stock on a crx (it very rare) i think it was ither optional or a very limited model. i actually had a set that i saved when i wasa working at this one wrecking yard long ago, but when i came back to get it was gone....
what you can try to do is get the integra 94-up, and see if that will work cause i think the integra glass is close to the same size.

 

my friend got the EG sunroof (glass section only) rigged up to work in his CRX. It took him about 2 days and he got it to fit/work perfectly, he did have some alignment issues with it but it did work. we were going to try to use the DC/DA integ but we couldnt find any for a resonable price so the EG one worked and seemed to be the closes fit....

I have one in my CRX. Its an 88DX. The lady had the glass replaced with a mirror tinted one after she busted out the first one with a pair of skiis. Here is a pic.
