You can do something like this:
BMW E36 lights on my bros Maxima. Involved cutting off the lense, replacing the lense with Maxima lense to get the contour etc right.
*Note: the grill has to be slightly modified to line up with the angle of the lights and hasn't been done as of these pictures.
