WTF: Alarm died?
So the other day my alarm was being picky. It unlocked my car just fine, but sometmies wouldnt relock it!
Well today it just died all together, went uot ot my car, unlocked it with the remote...that worked. got something outa the trunk, shut it...then tried to arm it with the remote, and that was a no go. The thing WOULD not arm
The thing is, it normally arms it self after 1 min, and it wont even do that anymore. My alarm light wont even blink. I tried putting the key in, turning it to II and pressing the light (valet button) and that didnt do **** either. Whats going on guys?
I need my alarm working asap!!!

could be a fuse if you get no response from anything. pull the dash down, and locate the module. if it;'s a fuse it'll be the primary +12 volt one.
another thing it could be it the ground connection, take a look , and make sure its all good.
good luck

what he said
and because it was intermitant I bet its the grounds, for alarm and doorlock relays,[if used]

What ground wire would I be looking for? that under the dash too: : /

UPDATE: Found the alarm today. Found a 10amp fuse and a 15 amp fuse attacted to some wires with lil plugs on them. The fuses are good! I looked for the ground, and that is good as well.
Here is the thing, I hooked up my multimeter , not sure if what im spose to measure, but I measured vDV. Connected to the 15amp fuse, and it read 6v or .6v , I forget, eitherway its getting some kinda power. I then connected it to the 10amp fuse wires, and I got 0 vDC.
(When I connected them, I removed the fuse, and stuck a probe in each side. )
Whats going on here? Any real good way to test if its getting power?
I checked ALL 15 and 10 amp fuses in my car, all is good!
Im sad

Can you tell me what brand of alarm, see if wire guide is on back of alarm.
To test ,unplug main plug from alarm "brain" ,black is ground, use continuity [the one that beeps when you hold probes together and readout is 000] one probe [ground] to ground the other to black wire on plug, should read 000 and beep.
The red wire is 12v+ constant , use DCV ,ground probe to ground, other one to red wire on plug should read 12volts no matter if ign. sw. is on or off, it will have a fuse on it.
The yellow [guessing] is ign.,will have 12v on it when ign. is on and when cranking motor [true ign.] and no power when ign.is off or on acc.
White [guessing] is light flash output will have 12v on it when you turn lights on,will also have fuse on it
Green or brown [guessing] will be door trigger, [use continuity] will show ground [beep] when a door is opened
Blue [guessing] is hood/trunk trigger, [same as doors]
As for doorlocks , so many diffarnt ways, alarm has to be plugged in and working to test, will normaly be on a small 2 pin plug green an blue wires.one wire will show groung for about 1 or 2 sec. on lock and the other on unlock.
Hope this helps. 94
ps. try this, after you unplug alarm brain, plug it back in again,[ give it 15 sec.] see if it resets and starts working.

You sir are the man. Thank you very much!
I checked voltages, all was good. I did not check the other thing, because im not sure what it is, and where it is on my multimeter.
I then unplugged the brain for about 20 seconds, plugged it back in. Pressed the remote, and BAM it worked! Thanks again!
