Default weird b16 vtec problem

I have searched and searched with no luck in fixing my problem. I have an 89 crx with a b16. When I am in 3rd gear the car hits what feels like a rev limiter at 7400. If I am in first or second gear the car pulls to 8200 everytime without fail. My oil was freshly changed, my vtec selonoid screen was cleaned, my timing is perfect, my tps is perfect, and I have no CELs. I have gone crazy trying to fix it Please help. TIA

I dont think its an auto ecu based on the fact that it does rev to 8200 but only in first and second gear

Have you dented your oil pan? Cause if so, your pick up tube might be bent and not supplying enough oil! Just a thought!

Mine redlines at 7400 in every gear. Does yours engage at 4300 at WOT? I read somewhere that some , very few though, PR3's come with a SOHC program! I wonder if this is true.?
