1987 civic 1.5L carb hp???
not 100% but probably something around 60 hp. i believe my brother's 86 si had 76 horsepower, so the 1.5 carbed one was probably around 60-63 maybe. as far as the redline, probably not that high - i would say probably 5500-6000. again, i'm just guessing, this is not something i know for sure. see if a local parts store has a repair manual for it - that will probably give you the numbers you are looking for.

redline for what is probably a D15A2 engine, is 6500 I have the same engine with the garbage carb on it, and I ran it up past 7500 more than a few times. what do ya think of the jungle of vacuum hoses on that thing? If you are looking to make power, get the head and intake and wiring harness for a CRX si. you will gain about 25-30 horsepower, (lots cheaper than anything V-Tec, and find a few of these cars in the junkyard)
along with a cleaner engine compartment, and much better strarting and fuel economy.

well, this animal houses the mighty B15A1. Does that mean it has even less hp? I'm assuming A2 is better, right?
Is your ride still carburated, or did you FI it?
