I have a '93 or '94 Civic EX Coupe. Its manufacture date is 6/03, and I don't know if this means it's a '93 or a '94. Anyhow, my original tape deck just died. I was looking around on eBay for replacements, and found a few that look right. However, did Honda offer a factory CD head unit in this model year? If so, I would like to try to find one. Could a different year CD head work without rewiring the harness? This car is strictly my beater work car, so I have no interest at all in putting an aftermarket head unit in it, otherwise I'd just go Alpine and be done with it

Please no suggestions to go aftermarket, I'm just having a hard time finding info about what is available/interchangable in the factory sector. Thanks!

 

Most honda/acura single din oem OEM cd HU will fit, or can be made to fit easy.

As for wiring ,I think from about 90 to 99 willbe plug and play,later models may need some wireing or wire adpt. [metra].
