He must already know. Or someone that used to be his friend told him.

Maybe i missed something somewhere between reading that article and you guy's responses but...It looks like all he's saying is that you can't just have a 400whp honda on pump gas with STOCK components. I may have overlooked it but, i didn't see anywhere where he's saying that 400whp can't be made on a honda. I think some of you read the article wrong and misunderstood what he was saying. All he's saying is ya can't daily drive a 1.6l 400whp honda on pump gas with stock components. I've might have missed the memos but i don't know anyone that runs that much power on stock stuff and drives it daily ( no honda anyway ).
i drive my 310 whp crx on 15psi of boost and 91 cali pump gas.. DAILY.... on stock parts...stock head. stock half shaft, stop tranny, stock axles.... .... I do have a hondata and some 1000 cc injectors and pistons and rods.. but still .. ..
I make well over 400 whp on 118 octane and a few more psi..
my Daily driver has 9.0 compression on a 81mm stock bore....
cant be done... **MORE LIKE** everyone's doing it...
and yes i have a dyno to prove it
BUBBA BUILT. for 8 months and 9,000 plus miles and going...

Well, i'm not trying to hate on you or anything because 310 on 15psi is pretty good.
Although, it's not exactly 400hp, built motor isn't exactly a stock engine and over 400whp doesn't apply to the rant when it's specifically talking about that type of power without race gas. I'm not saying this guy is totally right and you guys are totally wrong. I just don't know anyone that runs that much power daily on a stock drivetrain etc honda on pump gas. If it is, i doubt it lasts long. If " everyones " doing it, then can " everyone " post up their proof so more random thoughts can be put in perspective ?
If i'm of course wrong ( which i couldn't be because all i'm saying is what i've seen ) then i guess ladysman is right and the guy is just a lil late on the times.

Someone already mentioned that this article is way old too. I looked on the wayback website and they had it listed at feb 02!!
Think back then...the honda world was a bit different...and if you think otherwise look back into your scc/super street archive and take a look at what cars were on the cover
Although having said that I must admit that I remember reading this article a year or two ago and thinking he was a bit dramatic even back then.

lmao... There's a big difference between Street Legal and streetable... Everyone has there limits to what they'll consider streetable. My Mustang lopes like **** down low till about 2,400, to most it's no fun and wouldn't like to daily drive it on the street... Does it mean it can't be done? Hell no.. Now when you go throwing legalities into it... Hell I'm not supposed to be drive just about any of my vechiles on the street then, to me if you can get it insured and registered then it's street legal.... (Not so easy for everyone..)
i dont really see anything wrong with the article, the second or third paragraph adressed most your arguments, did you guys actually read it?
Speaking from personal experience, i can tell you the guys at TCR/LC Engeenering are far from idiots. Besides the article was written more like 5 years ago, and is pretty much on point today.
