Default Bilstein shocks for 98-02 Accords

Okay so I was reading a magazine and saw that Bilstein now offers shocks and springs I think as well for a 98-02? Accord.

Does anyone of you guys with this car have any other aftermarket shocks in their ride right now? If so do you have your old shocks?

I am trying real hard to find some shocks for my 96 3.5RL, and the picture of the Bilsteins look so much like my shocks that I think they might work. I want the Bilsteins if I can make them work, but I need to do the research to see if they can work.

I appreciate your unrewarded help....you never know what kind of contact you just made by offering your help

I have Tokico Illuminas in my 01 coupe right now and I still have my factory struts also. Im not sure as to weather the 98-02 accord struts will work in your car or not, i would day no considering the cars a set up differently and weigh different amounts. Just because the shocks look similar to your doesnt mean they are...all shocks for honda/acura look the same

they really arent as different as you think. i can use integra shocks if they were long enough, and when you step up to coilovers, you have even more range of options.

fyi you taking to a fabricator, someone who doesnt take no for an answer.

can you get me some dimensions from your old shocks?

the size of the shock have nothing to do with the valve and damper, making it fit outside is the simple part, making it handle and not blew the valve and bend the piston shaft is the hard part

ok you guys are just going too far. im sure you dont have experience with an RL, so let me just tell you that its like the softest ride in the world. Honda was going for comfort here.

only a numbnut will doo something stupid like blow a shock. its not ease to **** it up if you know what you are doing and how shocks work. who bends piston shafts in shocks anyways?!

iam7head, are you really providing any useful info here???

i dont need to hear all this nonsense people, im just asking for someone willing to help give me answer to MY QUESTIONS, not answers to your own questions. maybe you think your like a bad *** or like the king of cars or just a post *****, but in either case, when you answer a post, just answer the post! keep your comments to yourself unless otherwise asked.

how can i even take your post seriously? blew? wth?

ok, first of all, calm down. second of all, realize that if you are going to nitpick someone else's post, yours will be nitpicked. for example:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SBE &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ok you guys are just going too far. im sure you dont have experience with an RL, so let me just tell you that its like the softest ride in the world. will should be would. two o's in do? ease? perhaps you mean easy...i feel that iam7head brought to light legitimate issues that could happen when using a shock/strut in the wrong application. so just calm down and if you dont agree with what someone posted, dont go ballistic.
