CRX sounds like a an Old Beetle (wtf!)
I put on dc 421 one piece last night. It was the install from HELL!
. I didnt realize that I could unbolt the crossmember so I removed the radiator and many other things that were very unnecesary. Havent really opened it up, but there seems to be a "decent gain" in the mid to upper.
Anyway. Is there some kind of gasket i can get for where the header and cat meet up. It seriously sounds like a beetle on steroids now(kinda different) and is getting annoying. Please any comments or suggestions are welcome.
Btw the reason i didnt search on h-t was because i had no comp...in case any of u were wondering.

Did you buy the header used? your supposed to have a donut gasket there, other wise your giving yourself a nice exaust leak. You can probably find one on the web i'm sure, http://www.mrgasket.com might have one for ya.

Really theres supposed to be a gasket?
Is there supposed to be a gasket when your header is a 2 piece and in between the 2 pieces should there be a gasket

Yes - because you have a loss in back pressure. It would depend on how large the leak was for how much power loss you would feel.
On the other hand, if you have forced induction, like a turbo or something, then the more exhaust leaks the better:

I finally got a gasket and it looks like a metal ring 2" that is maybe a few millimeters thick. Is this thing supposed to "crush" in between the header and cat to stop my leak. It looks real sketchy. This sucks
