Default intake manifold

so i changed my intake manifold from the A6 to a no brand name i got from a friend. here is the problems...only 3 bolts fit but it holds, the TB had to be hammer in with only 2 bolts holding it(the gsr t/b went perfect but obd-obd1 was too much trouble and the throttle cable was upside down....the injecters railing wont bolt up,the manifold is now bigger and longer so i have to cut the intake....but he told me it worked on his CRX but he had 93 gsr injectors and railings,93 gsr t/b....can someone tell me what this manifold is for.......im thinkin a sohc vtec motor..

Most all D-series intake manifolds share the same bolt pattern. Does the coolant ports even line up? Do you have any pics of the manifold? Honestly, I think you are better off sticking with the A6 manifold.

sorry no pic....everythin seem screwed up..the manifold fits into the screws but the bolts wont go in because the runners are thick and the bolts are hiting it...the collant line runs all the sener and lines match up.....and also i started the car 3 of the injetors feels LOSE from the railings and gas went all over

That's what happens when you try to go the cheap way. That's why whenever my car breaks I just wait till I have the money to buy the good ****.

Are you sure it's a D-series manifold? Sounds like a B-manifold especially since you say you say how you say your buddy's setup was

but on sohc vtec i would have to change my fuel rails ,t/b etc...it doesnt mean all D-serise match up wit any d-seris parts...but either way i am having alot of trouble......

if i was to buy a skunk 2 intake manifold do they have specific manifolds for A6 and Y8,Z6 or is it jus "d-seris" because i dont want to do all the rewiring and stuff like i would have to if i change my A6 to the Z6 or y8

Yeah - I know that the d-series parts aren't all interchagable. It's true that the fuel rails don't mix and match.

It's also pretty weird that a B-series GSR rail was used on this mystery manifolfd of yours.

Do ALLLLL the holes line up with the threads on the head?
Maybe you can take the manifold off again and try mounting it up again differently. Maybe put all the bolts in first, then line it up on the head and tighten it down like that - turn each screw a little at a time so they don't hit the runners.

What throttle body did you try putting on there? The Y8 manifold accepts all the B-series TB's so maybe you tried putting an A6 TB on there? They don't fit.
