Default My 90 civic is throwing a code, help?

Well this is what i have: d16a6 witha y8 head, y8 mani, and a teg throttle body, all hoses are hooked up right, and i had to re-locate a sensor in the intake tube, if forget the name of it. Well when get on my car and take it over 6000 rpms it throws a code, so i checked and my ecu flashes 10 times, which is a intake temp code or something like that, i dont have the book right now, but im sure that what it said. So does anyone know what could be the problem, if you can help that would be great, hope i gave enough info.

10 is the iat. it's the little white sensor that is on the intake manifold held in with two phillips head screws. on the 91' im it's on the drivers side runner, and i think on 92+ it's on the back drivers side of the im.

so the IAT is what i relocated in the intake tube, so it must be bad? and why does it only throw a code at a higher rpm, and not a lower one? well thanks for the info.

why did you have to relocate it? if it's in the intake tube it might be getting different readings at different rpms as more air is going past it quicker. i think inside the im it would stay at a relatively constant temp? it might just be confused? does it seem to affect performance?

I relocated my Intake Air Temp. sensor to my OEM filter box and i probaly get 5 more horses. I take you've all herd of the restor thing; putting a restor in place of the sensor to make the computer think it -10 outside, well this is the same thing but the computer dosent learn theres a fixted temp. so it works for more than a few days.

i did a y8 mani and head swap, so i had to relocate it, my a6 had it this y8 stuff dont thats the reason, and ya it hurts my performance, i will try to take a pic tomorrow and show what i am talking about, thanks for the replies. Oh this is what it does, when i get on it when it hits above 4000+ it boggs down alot and dosnt really go much, and at 6000 it just boggs more and makes a loud intake noise and then throws a code. It feels like when a car is out of time and when you hit the pedal to the floor it kinda boggs down, it like that, really sucks.
