b18c5 turbo greedy
just install my greedy turbo kit made for the gsr in a civic 2k coupe powered by a b18c5(type r )mmmmm i love it
just raced againt my competitor gsr greedy friend and beat it by about 3 car in a 1/4 mille aprox!!!i have no intercooler but i have msd the gsr dont have msd but have an intercooler we where at the same amont of boost stock 8 psi and our car weight about the same to so conclusion a type r turbo is more powerfull then a gsr

Why, so he can have a slower car? I think you'll find an ITR faster than an LS with the same turbo kit
Of course, he sounds surprised the ITR was faster than a GSR so who knows ...

also i forgot when i race him i had no primary oxygen sensor so the ecm signal was way to rich or *** top

Do some research..you will find that the B18b is not only lower compression than a B18C5(turbos don't like high compression engines), but larger displacement as well. Oh, an no vtec.

maybe you yourself should do more research. vtec will always make more power than ls even if it has more displacement. A type R turbo is a great combo, they average around 280 to the wheels.

Never had the intention of misinforming anyone in fact it sounds like some of you are misinformed by your sources.
FastGSR94: Ever been in an FI car when vtec kickes in, no where did I say that a non vtec car put more or less power than vtec.
SagaGSR: techinically the LS has more displacement(B18b = 1.834 vs. B18c1 and c5 = 1.797). They are not the same.

maxim_force: The LS engine is a good engine for FI, but VTEC engine also bro. The LS is just more....boost friendly. Technicaly i guess the LS would accept more boost than any other VTEC engine, stock vs stock of course.
The LS engine is a 1.8 just like the type R, but its still a bit bigger. It's 1834cc compare to the GSR or type R that are something like 1795cc (not exactly a 1.8 liter) The LS will always have killer low end torque under boost just like the B20Z, but the VTEC motors will have a killer top end, and this is where the B18B will get spanked.
I would still prefer a fully built B18B or B20Z turbo, but thats my opinion! I need low end torque to have fun
And yeah, mikvtec, meanteg and myself are french canadians from Montréal, please don't laugh at us! laugh with us! LOL

im having slight detonation at hight rpm so i need to retard a bit checked plug but sounds ok but if i dont retard about 3 deg i ear noise in the top rpm 8000 to 8600 range im still waiting for my cooler that maybe will resolv the prob stay tuned!
It's a custom made intercooler that i bought from the tuning shop i work for, Trac Racing, http://www.tracracing.com The core measures 33" x 8" x 3". MikVtec is also gonna use one of our IC's very soon.

Don't tell me to do some research - you should do some research and talk to the guys runing 10.5 and up with turbos and see if they are beating LS's.
