Someone has told me that 2000 and 2001 Type Rs in Japan are known as 2000 Spec Rs and have the badge that says that under the e-brake handle. I was under the impression that the badges only read '98 Spec r for all Rs after 1998. If I can get one that says 2000 Spec R let me know where and who I can get one from.

'00 Spec R' for 2000+ ITRs

 

miraiz-Is it true that the only way you can get the 98specR or 00specR stamp on the plaque is if it is off of a type R, meaning you cant order (palque) new from the dealer because it comes blank.
It only make sense becasue you can only buy the US plaque blank from the dealership.

 

we don't have serials here so (pre 2000 ITR's),so I'd assume that you can pick them up from the dealer (engraved). I haven't seen any car parts store that carry them...
