Default 6 feet under with Hondata...

Ok heres the deal...i bought my s200 w/3-step, and i bought the p-28 obd-2 crossover built in. so far so go0d! But then @ SFP (south florida performance) we install the s200 and plug up the ecu and the s200 light doesnt turn on and the car just turns over but no start up... we plug bak in the stock ecu and it runs better than ever. We sent it back to hondata and they said that they wired up the p-28 and it works...now they telling me its the s200. But wtf is the deal i mean the s200 lit up with the stock ecu why not the p-28? Do you think it the built in crossover, or just a bad ecu. I mean either way they will send me a new ecu if needed but im anxious for this S&*T already. I expect a call from Frank from SFP tomorrow but i just wanted to see what you all thought about this situation!

-also just to throw it in there, you think 180+whp is possible with i/h/e no cat?

No info on the Hondata but i hit 181Whp with I/H/E/P/VAFC and stock cat. Unless you get the VAFC i will find it hard to reach 180whp. I put down 167whp before the VAFC tunning.

stands for pulleys i believe, and for revi, the hondata s200 is far superior to the piggyback VAFC system so if it is possible with a VAFC, then is definitely possible with the hondata

180whp is possible with I/H/E/no cat and the hondata tuned. But with just the I/H/E and no cat, it's not going to happen.

We've gotten 182 out of an H22 with intake and header w/ a Hondata.....sounds like your chip didn't burn, because even if the hondata is messed up or missing the car will still start and run (assuming there is a decent tune on it) it just won't go over 5K....

i asked the shop that if the p-28 was burned and he said yea its go0d to go. still no word from them...

anyone have n-e-input on how they like the:
-full throttle shifting
-launch control

and where is the best place for the vtec to hit? right now its at 5000rpms do you think they are goin to lower it?and if im over 180 whp i will be happy. and i did have a v-afc but its just for display n0w as my tach since the hondata is being put in.

but i think your right firedrake. i just hope everything works when i get the p-28 back from hondata

Hondata will fix it if the problem is on their end, but what you're describing sure sounds like a chip burn that didn't take. Shoulda bought the Hondata & ECU from us, then I could fix the problem rather than just giving advice
VTEC should engage at 4700 rpm, and if you drag the car at all the launch control is a must have (not so much for NA cars, but all turbo cars should have it)....

There was no problem with your ecu....You had an P28 with a built in OBD2B adapter which works perfectly in a OBD2B car, and all OBD2 Preludes are OBD2A. Your problem is that you had the wrong ecu. This was not a problem with the Hondata at all.

i talked to SFP today and they got the p-28 back and its fine they said. the burn was fine. they said hondata wants to see my s200 system. so now im taking it out today and shipping it back tomorrow. they said the s200 and the ECU werent reading together. i think they are going to swap me s200.

I'm the one that looked at your ecu...the problem described above is what is wrong.

The ecu has not been shipped back as we are waiting on them to let us know what they want to do.
