Default d16a1 problems plz help....

ok well my friend has a ef hatch and he got a d16a1 dirt cheap the problem is the wiring theres 2 wires that run below the mani. that i cant figure out where they go, and the motor wont catch a spark either.. idk what to do we are stuck and he needs his car on the road soon if ne one can help plz def. could use it....

why did he put a D16 into an EF? waste of time......im sure motor mounts had to be fabbed cause this motor and tranny do not bolt in.

Yeah, what he said. I don't even know if it's possible to do it. Did he get a d16 with electric (88-89) or vacuum advance (86-87) distributor? If it's vacuum it's like taking an evolutionary step backward. A Si motor or black top ZC will bolt right in. The ZC is plug and play with a 88-89 Integra ecu.

its 88-89.... well i was told that behind the mani. it was the oil pressure sensor, and he got the motor cuz it was so cheap and his stock motor blew he has a b18a but is building it for ls vtec and he just needs the d16 to get him down to fl. to move w/ his dad... thanks so far ne info will help i dont know ne thing about these motors
