Gen 3 1988 Prelude-S Come help with my project (project story)
Wsup yall
-i bought this car for 500, from a friend of a friend, the body is super clean, cept for some oxidation that i fixed right up with some car paint duplicator which touched up the paint really nice---- if i am able to drop a motor into this car, knowing that it is a duel-carburator fuel system, i will flip it out and have it lookin super nice.... if yall could help me out fat and tell me wut to drop, in this light car i will fly
-The idle was so low it was dieing
-The clutch master cylinder was leaking(so the clutch either didnt pop into gear, or the clutch stuck to the ground, and had to refil clutch fluid every few miles)
I took it in
and had a major tune up, and replaced the cylinder
-After that the car was cool, but grinded when shifting from 1-2, 2-3
-Idle and everything in this car is working very good now, cept for grinding,
but everytime i started the car in the morning the whole block whould smoke up(litterally half the block is smoked up)
-I havent got a smog since i bought the car which is like 4-5 months ago
-And also whats shady is that, i had no alarm system, and was stupid as **** and left my deck face in my car, and next thing you know, this is gone
-2 15" Thunder Subwoofer
-900 watt amp
-Equilizer
-Latest pioneer deck 3600

Heres what makes it so hard
---------------------------------
Duel-Carborator (not a fuel injection car)
1988- i would have to swap all the dashboard all the everything, and the wires have to be convered and replaced which is really costly told by my mechanic)
heres how you can help me
------------------------------------

about 5000$ and a lot of time
3rd gens are not mod friendly, look it up, it's sad, but there isn't a whole lot you can do.
easiest thing is turbo it, but not sure if you want to do that to a carb. either way, the car will be a lot of work.
#1 is strip it.

Basically, the 3rd gen possesses the bastard Honda B motor lol. You can drop any motor in that car with custom motor mounts. There have been a few selected bunch who dropped H22As in it and had excellent results.
the third gen has allways been a favorite for many all across the world, and is mine of course ,i have a h22a and think its the best thing i have done with my lude but my car was a si so it was a bit easy to do, you might just want to drop in a b20a i had that setup before and loved it great motor imo! with headers,cai,14 lb.flywheel, camgears, act clutch, and mt slicks i borrowed from a friend
i hit a 14.3 1/4 time ,witch isnt bad so you can go that route its cheap, or go h22 like me a bit more costly i havent taken it to the track yet.
good luck.
