remain stock with front lip/spoiler
can u remain stock if you put on an OEM a front lip/spoiler on?
thinking the OEM type-R lips that you can get from the dealerships for regular ole civics.
the ones that just bolt right on where the holes already are.
thanks

Some may say it's not. Front my point of view, anything that comes from the dealer, is stock. Just my .02

It is not a stock component unless it is an option for the specific car. Turns out the lip mentioned is a JDM item-I sold my spare. Looks great and in many cases (autocross for example) may well be just fine. This particular Honda part is for 96-98 Civic ONLY, if memory serves me. Another thing-most sanctioning body rules do not allow a part from off-shore regardless of the supplier. On the other hand you could argue for IT and Production racing that it is OK since a lip/spoiler is free as to origin; there are rules governing shape.
That's my 2 cents
