No this is the B16. The LS VTEC is going in now a little ahead of schedule.

I had stock internals on my B16 just bolt ons

Wow, that's pretty shitty. That motor must have really wanted to die if it self-destructed at 6,000rpms in 1st gear. Oh well, now that gives you a reason to throw the LSVTEC in

haha yeah. Only thing I can think is I did damage 30k miles ago with a 70 wet...

Sucks that it went this soon. I had everything I needed with the exception of fuel management. So once again I go in to debt

You can see the rest of the pics here:

Wow bro, something HAD to be in the chamber, extreme temp, or SOMETHING, i don't know, but it happened for a reason. It wouldn't just destroy like that at 6k for no apparent reason.

The only time I've ever seen stuff like that is when the piston was jammed up into the head. Did you have any clearence problems, heat issues, serious detonation, leaning out, anything?

nope, all stock internals so I am thinking clearance issues wouldnt be a factor. I used to spray a 70 wet on the motor about 40 thousand miles ago. So maybe I weekend it then who the hell knows...

there is no possible way that just a 70 shot wet would cause that. Only way that couldt have happend would be hyrdolocking, overreving, mishift, spray into redline. Freind of mine sprayed into redline for about 2 seconds on a ls motor on a 150 shot wet full stock motor, all it did was blow out three exhaust valves and caused the fuel pump to take a ****.

Someone about your story just dont add up. Was this motor bought used? Where there any fuel tuning on it?

It has an OBD1 Chipped P28 running a Mugen Program.

I bought the car used with 19k on it. Seriously I am telling everything about it. I have no idea why it went. I realize something didnt add up too. I am also exploring the possibility that someone put something in my gas tank. I may drop it and check it here shortly.

maybe it was caused by detanation or bad gas. Ive had a freinds motor take a **** similar to that one because the gas they pumped wasnt 93, it was tested at like 89. Also was the chip a JDM chip or anything like that? Reason being the fuel levels in japan are different than here. They can get 101 at the pump and its possible that the ecu was tuned for higher then 93 octane. how long have you had the ecu with the chip on the motor?
