bisi header? yay or nay?
do a search, its been discussed before. If you look on Bisi's site you'll notice he quotes one of his responses from a time when he was questioned about the header and its design.

I really liked the AN-R headers in the past but I heard they are extremely prone to cracking, and AN-R headers are made by the same guy as Bisi's aren't they? I'm not flaming the headers but I would like some input for my own benefit.
The cracking issues with the AN-R headers have been fixed.
They didn't crack due to bad fabrication, but from the use of tubing that was too thin. They have since moved to a thicker tubing, and the problem seems to be solved.
I haven't heard of any issues with the Bisi headers, so I wouldn't worry.

Another big factor is how the header is attached to the rest of the exhaust. I've seen some people do straight up flat flanges to their cat/exhaust. Obviously this provides no insurance when the engine rocks from torque. I have a 2.5 ID flex pipe (just as the turbo guys would use) on my Bisimoto header in place of the normal oem style spring/bolt/socket style connection (which would also work). Flexability is important.
For the other stories I've heard, with headers cracking even when running open header, thats just kinda
IMO.

bisi's, an-r's are great, they give out good numbers at good prices, but i'd hate to be without AC, they dont clear AC which would suck if u had a hot chick with you driving around when its hot outside...

lol yeah but you'll be going faster and the wind thru her hair will arouse(spell?) her
from what i've read on here, both are very good headers, im sure you will be very happy with the power improvment!

I was just about to bring that up

exactly.....much more efficient than the short merge collector on AN-R's header.

I retract my previous statement...
I was recently informed that Bisi's headers do not use an actual Burns stainless merge collector...
They are custom made collectors by Steve Brown, Just like the collectors on the AN-R/Prospeed/Ericks racing headers...
If I am wrong then correct me and I will delete this post...

Just curious. For the people running the Bisi D-series header or I guess any for that matter. Where did you get yours from and how long did you wait?
I am assuming exospeed?
