JDM p30 pistons for LSVTEC, WHERE TO BUY.........
i'm sorry if this is the wrong forum, but i've had no luck in the classifieds opr general debate forum. I'm looking for oem honda p30 pistons and I happen to live in canada where they charge around $300 usd for just the pistons and wrist pins at the dealerships. I've tried jhpusa.com, heeltoe automotive, a and j racing, camp1320, ebay and a few others with no one having these pistons in stock. this is basically the last part on my lsvtec list and any help would be great...........
I was going to suggest JHPUSA.com, but you said you already looked there. I know they sell them, but you just gotta wait until they get back in stock. Also, what about Passwordjdm.com or Hmotorsonline.com?

I just looked at both sites you suggested and it did not appear that either sold p30s, but since some websites do not list a full inventory I just e-mailed both. thanks for the links
.
Inline4.com can get p30's in stock (special order), and i contacted them also. thanks for the help guys, i'll see what luck i have with getting responses to the 6-8 e-mails i sent after i initially posted this topic yesterday (i did a google search for jdm honda pistons
).

yeah, site was a mess. i talked to the owner on aim and he was really nice tho.
I was contacted back by two of the sites, both have the pistons as air mail to be from japan, 2-3 week wait as a special order..........

i've had no responses from most of the website e-mailed, you'd think after 3 days i'd have a few responses..........
lol, he was the first guy i contacted. he's definitely my first choice for the pistons, his price is great but he isn't sure when his next shipment is going to come in, although it should be soon.
i don't know about some of these sites. i e-mailed inline4 twice over the span of a week and a half and they never returned the e-mails...........
I have a pair sitting in my room waiting to be installed but Not for sale ----- Sorry

anyone got a recommendation if p30ès are too hard to find..........pr3s or jdm itr pistons instead..........
1) My friend found a JDM B16 and took them out and put in some CTR pistons and gave the p30's to me.
2) Use US B16 pistons -- they are pretty easy to find -- or just get some Custom pistons with REAL high C/R.

well, as it stands I found a wicked deal on some jdm itr pistons and rings (around $270 USD here in canada), but the site is back-ordered for 4-6 weeks
. one of the H-T sponsors has a set of used p30s that are apparently mint from a very low mileage motor, and he should be getting me pics monday night. If those p30s are not mint, i'll have to resort to some pr3s if JDM ITRS are also too hard to find. they demand for jdm pistons is unreal right now online........

Well as far as I know ITR pistons won't fit in a Ls due to the pin placement putting the piston higher and making it stick out of the cyl. === Bad piston / valve contact.
B16's have the same Pin placement as the B18a/b.
Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yea itrs wont fit in stock ls rods you can make them fit but p30's and pr3's (both of those fit stock) will give you a higher cr plus usdm pr3's are pretty easy to find
would the rod need to be shaved or would the piston need modification? i was told by my machinist the rods would have to be shaved 1mm to fit the p30 pistons.......
