is primer used to make ur car 'flat black' or is there a specific paint for flat black? and if primer is used do u put a clear coat or does that defeat the purpose of 'flat black'?

no primer is not used. John Deere paint is what the hot rodders use. Krylon is what most of the HT members used. Slopoke used krylon in a paint gun and it came out the best IMO.

I used flat black paint from home depot, and used my paint gun.



doesnt really look too black there, but trust me, it is

That flat black came out hella nice

 

to me flat black looks gay...it seems like the person is too cheap to get a paint job..i like the hood better than the hatch it self...

Now a nice shiny black would be awesome on that hatch.
