Default in search of a new muffler for my ef hatch, canister style 12" or shorter

I'm going to put it on the passenger side, w/a cutout for it to sit up higher. All mufflers I've found have a 14" length, and that is too long. It will interfere with the rear sway bar mounts.

I'm not looking for a 4" tip neither. I saw one at a body shop that was prolly 12" long w/a 2.5" inlet and outlet.

I ain't into the all angled like crazy fart cans, just a lil one that will get a resonator to help it out upstream.

I will most likely fill in the drivers side cutout, and move it to the pass side.

ebay search of muffler 2.5

sooooo many rice cans, my head hurst

closest pic i could find, but a round cutout and not that long of a muffler or that big of a tip

and here's anothe pic of that car, i don't have any info on it

Anyone know of a smaller can muffler like that? I know they're outu there somewhere....and no I ain't gonna pay out the butt for a spoon axleback from a newer civic.

some dude here has an invidia on his **** but it is coming out in the oem side at an angle and the muff is pretty short. you can also try the apc mini muffler. i know apc is crap but they are the only company that make that one 13 inch overall length. hope that helps.

gaw, i just need to go take a pic of the one i'm tryin to get. it's a chrome muffler, w/just 2.5" inlet and outlet. nice and simple.
with that small tip it can sit higher up and not be all blangan (somethin else to keep polished)

Ok, did some browsing. I know all Honda-tech people are gonna be haters, but the thing is they sell what I'm lookin for in size at least. Yes sir, Ractive mufflers. There are a ton of choices even for the sizes I'm looking at. Honda's can't help but buzz once vtec is engaged anyways.
Here's a few I've found.
--M208 compact muffler

Canister Length: 10"
Overall Length: 15"
Inlet Pipe Diameter: Center 2.375"
Exhaust Outlet Diameter: Center 2.375"
$89.95
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The internal main chamber is perforated and rifled which causes the exhaust gases to spiral outward, dissipating energy and reducing sound and harshness without effecting flow.</TD></TR></TABLE>
So not those gay louvers, but mesh like inside right?

the m251 is good also
Canister Length: 13.5"
Overall Length: 19"
Inlet Pipe Diameter: Offset 2.25"
Exhaust Outlet Diameter: Center 2.25"
(one side offset could make it possible for it to sit straight back to clear sway bar bracket)

They also had a couple black powdercoated ones, but none my style, oh well. We'll see what I end up with.
Go ahead and hate, I don't care. If paint would stick to the canister, I'd go that route.

if you really dont care about the emissions part of it then you could just cut a piece of a moffler out and weld it back together. like cut a 4" section out to shorten it up. i have mine on the stock side and its not angled but i also dont have a gas tank or sway bar

Thats an oval 2.5" "Cherry Bomb Turbo II" you can find at autozone. They have perforated cores and a no restriction design, which all that really matters... Its small too, smaller than magnaflows. Sounds great in my opinion, nice deep tone - doesn't sound like a damn weed wacker.

"Available in 2 inlet/outlet configurations (see diagram at left). 3-1/4" x 7-3/4" oval cases are 13" long."

Edit: Why don't you just have it come out of the OEM exit?
