Towing my EF Hatch, with my EF 4 Door...
I plan towing my '91 hatch with my '89 Auto DX with the D15B2, where would I get the tow ball accessories? I was thinking I'm not sure if the DPFI D15B has enough power... Any imput from somebody who tried?
my advice... borrow/buy a truck. i dont think your dx could take it.
but if you really want to try... i think i have a link around here somewhere with a tow package for civics

I towed my first crx shell that had a d16a6 in the bay and a sohc zc in the trunk and we towed it with my friends 91 accord lx, wasnt really a problem, just a lot of high reving
Once you get it moving you should be fine, its easy to keep it moving once you get the wheels rolling. Stay away from hills or steep inclines and you should be fine.

I towed my buddies 95 talon with my 91 HB once. But that was no trailer, just tow rope.
My DX towed his car just fine. I could accelerate on the highway even towing his cast iron car.

I'll be pulling the '91 back to Arizona from NC, with all my ****. The DX is auto, so I don't have to worry about burning up a clutch. I'm just wondering if I need to do a MPFI & Mini Me conversion for the extra power. I'd use the type of trailer that holds the front wheels up, and the rear wheels on the ground, I think it would be easier on the car than a full size trailer. Any websites where I can find the tow package?

Yup, I pulled my 240sx with my zc ex, thats a 2300lb car with ZC pulling a 2700lb car, no problems. But with the actual hitch and towing trailer you might be pushing it with the dx. As long as your on flat ground youll be ok, and especially no hills with that auto, our TC's arent the strongest.

Not much that I know of. We dont have as numerous of a slecetion for auto upgrades like a lot of domestics do. Your best bet would be to look for an auto ZC torque converter. My zc came with one but I doubt its worth the hassle, just stay off the gas, be very very easy. You just dont want to strain the TC much. Stay away from those hills.

With out the car running your going to burn up the internals of the auto tranny, atleast thats how the American cars react to being towed. Before you drag it look into towing with an Auto tranny. You might want to pull the axles or get free wheeling hubs.
good luck.

haha this thread is funny.
well when i bought my 1st ef hb si it came with a new tow hitch system... I mean this sucker with very beefy and definatly no joke to take off and lift. I was bolted in like 4 spotes of the rear section....
I think towing capassity for a ef hb si was 900lbs or somthing close to to it.
If you want my tow hitch it's for sale. $100 shipped... shipping alone is going to cost me like $40.... cause it's like 40lbs..
