Attn: Anyone Who Knows Bodywork!
So I started tearing the car down, I've decided to keep it and fix it. In the end, after all the hard work, it'll be worth more and mean more, and that's the point for me, to build something I'm proud of and have put time and effort into. This way I can get new CF fenders, CF hood, and do little ****, like paint the engine bay black while its out before I swap the B16 in, do the "stealth" wires thing, etc. I took off just about everything I could so far, but this part, not sure what it's technically called, probably radiator support or something, is obviously spot welded in places. I was wondering what you guys suggest as the easiest way to remove it, the old hammer and crowbar isnt going to really work, because it will mess up the parts it's welded to. Any help is appreciated..In this picture, highlighted in black are the exact spots and parts I'm talking about.

This has to come off as well, same deal..
Also, if anyone needs any parts from a D16a6 let me know, if not it's getting trashed..Alternator is good, tranny is good, halfshafts, etc... Let me know and we can work something out. If anyone has any B16 parts they are getting rid of, we can make a deal on that too.

you will need to drill out the spot welds. Get a good drill bit just a little bit bigger than the spot weld and drill them all out. You have to remove your fenders cause there are weld on top too. After you drill them all out you can pull off the radiator support, then line up the new one, and weld it in place.
To line it up your gonna have to put your hood and fenders back on. To hold the support in place you can use your bumper support bolts to hold it and adjust..
Good Luck

It's fixable! looked a lil worse then my crx did and it cost me $200 from a cheap *** place good as new!....you will need to take off the welds on the complete front nose (its a bich) and go to a junkyard or order a new one and get a complete front bumper support headlight rings etc....if you go to a junkyard you will need to have them cut it about 3-6 inches back on the fender so you make sure you got all that you need. Take it to the repair person or you and align everything up with your new core support and pull it and twist it all untill it all fits (the side fenders) and then spot weld it back together. If you cant take the spot welds apart with a special tool that the body place has you will need to have them do it because its a bich and you could ruin it if your holes get too big etc. and your spot welds will turn into big lumps of bird crap!
